Le Chiantigiane associate winemakers in Abruzzo have 500 hectares of terrain planted with vines.
Here the history of the vines dates back to the Etruscans, who introduced its organized cultivation in sixth to seventh century BC and always, this, has been a land generous with wine, thanks to the beneficial influence of the sea and the mountains.
The vines are distributed in the most suitable areas of the region. Their low ampelographical base is mainly represented by Montepulciano which offers well-structured wines, rich in phenols, thanks to a microclimate, structure and typology of the terrain.
Montepulciano DOC has very interesting organoleptic features, thanks to its intense colour with violet and to its fruity aromatic overtones, making it a lively and well-balanced wine.
